SCHOOLS & EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS

Psychology for the places where children learn, belong and grow.

Schools are more than places for learning. They are where children build relationships, navigate expectations, experience belonging and exclusion, manage change and spend a huge part of their everyday lives.

Psychology training, reflective practice and consultancy for schools, teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams and educational settings.

A KINDER SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

Psychological understanding can become part of everyday school life.

Schools are more than places for learning. They are places where children develop relationships, navigate expectations, experience belonging and exclusion, and make sense of themselves and the world around them.

We help schools bring psychological thinking into those everyday experiences — supporting staff to understand what may be happening beneath the surface, respond thoughtfully and create environments where children can feel understood, supported and able to flourish.

CONSULTANCY FOR SCHOOLS

Bringing psychology into the places where children grow.

The Conditions to Flourish framework helps us think psychologically about children, the adults around them and the environments they experience — and what might help those conditions become stronger.

We work with schools to apply the Conditions to Flourish Framework at an organisational level - helping you to review and develop policies, processes, environments and everyday practice so that all children can feel understood,  supported, able to flourish and sustain themselves overtime.

A framework for real change.

Here's how the Conditions to Flourish might be applied to your school:

NAVY 1 CTF UNDERSTAND.png

Understand

How well do we understand children's psychological experiences?

We might consider

  • What children may be experiencing emotionally

  • How children communicate needs and distress

  • Children's perspectives and sense-making

  • Development, difference and individual needs

  • How adults interpret behaviour

  • Whether policies and practice reflect children's lived experiences

NAVY 2 CTF SUPPORT.png

Support

Does our practice provide the psychological support children need?

We might consider

  • Relationships and attachment

  • Emotional support and communication

  • Regulation and co-regulation

  • Accessibility and reasonable adjustments

  • How adults respond to distress or uncertainty

  • Whether systems enable appropriate support

NAVY 4 CTF SUSTAIN.png
NAVY 3 CTF FLOURISH.png

Flourish

Does our environment create the psychological conditions for children to flourish?

We might consider

  • Psychological safety

  • Belonging and inclusion

  • Identity and being able to be oneself

  • Confidence and participation

  • Relationships with adults and peers

  • How the environment affects wellbeing and engagement

Sustain

How do we sustain psychologically informed practice over time?

We might consider

  • Staff psychological understanding

  • Shared ways of thinking

  • Reflective practice

  • Learning from experience

  • Embedding approaches into everyday practice

  • Reviewing and adapting what we do

PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR SCHOOLS

Turning psychological understanding into everyday support.

Training can help staff understand children differently. But understanding is only the beginning.

The Greenhouse is our practical support-planning tool, designed to help children and the adults around them think about what helps a child feel supported, what they need to grow and who can help them get there.

Rather than starting with:

“What's wrong?”

The Greenhouse encourages us to ask:

“What does this child need around them to flourish?”
