When the everyday stuff stops feeling manageable
Most children go through rocky patches — a friendship that falls apart, a move to secondary school, parents separating, a confidence knock that won't shift. Usually these pass. Sometimes they don't, and a child gets stuck: in worry, in shutting down, in big feelings that come out sideways.
That's where this work sits. Not crisis intervention, not a label — just steady, skilled support to help a child make sense of what's happening and find their way back to feeling like themselves.
What this looks like in practice
Sessions are shaped around the child, not a script. Younger children work through play, story and creative tools; older children and teens have more space for talking therapy, while still keeping things grounded and practical rather than clinical.
Parents and carers are kept in the loop in a way that respects the child's privacy — you'll always know the shape of the work, even when the detail belongs to your child.
What we work with
A snapshot of what brings families to this page — there's almost always more going on underneath than the headline issue.
Anxiety & Worry
Anxious thoughts and avoidance
Company-sponsored professionals navigating cultural adjustment, identity disruption, and the gap between a well-managed relocation and a genuinely supported one.
SELF-ESTEEM
Not feeling good enough
Low confidence, harsh self-talk, comparison, and the quiet belief that they're somehow getting it wrong.
BIG FEELINGS
Anger, meltdowns & overwhelm
Emotional regulation difficulties, outbursts that feel bigger than the moment, and shutting down instead of speaking up.
FAMILY CHANGE
Parent separation & new family shapes
Divorce, two homes, new partners and step-siblings, and the loyalty conflicts that come with all of it.
FRIENDSHIPS
Falling out, fitting in, being left out
Friendship breakdowns, social anxiety, bullying, and the social maze of secondary school and group chats.
Transitions
Change of every kind
Starting school, moving house, new siblings, exams, and the in-between stages that unsettle even resilient kids.
Support shaped around their age and stage
Ages 6-11
Playful, creative, hands-on
Younger children rarely sit and talk about feelings directly — so the work doesn't ask them to. Sessions use play, drawing, story and movement to help children process what's going on, build emotional vocabulary, and feel safe enough to open up in their own way.
