Supporting children whose worlds include hospitals, diagnoses, and difference
Children navigating chronic illness, disability, medical procedures, or being "different" from their peers carry a particular kind of weight — and they're too often handed mental health support that wasn't built with them in mind.
As a psychotherapist and a parent raising children with medical and additional needs myself, this is the work closest to my heart. I meet these children where they actually are: in waiting rooms, before procedures, living with uncertainty, and finding their own kind of brave.
