At the heart of our work is a commitment to a child-led approach to mental wellbeing. Our ambassadors, with their invaluable insights, co-create unique psychoeducation resources designed to support emotional development and build resilience. By championing the child’s voice, we create powerful tools that help young people explore their feelings, develop a positive growth mindset, and understand that their challenges can become remarkable strengths.
We are dedicated to providing accessible, engaging support that is built for children, by children.

Ava is our first Ambassador for The Children’s Psychology Hub. Living with 22q (DiGeorge Syndrome), congenital heart disease, autism, and a learning disability, Ava has faced many challenges—from multiple hospital stays and medical trauma to the social and sensory demands of school.
Ava recently helped design our Circus of Courage digital download and printed mat, using her own experiences of growth mindset and resilience to inspire other children.
Ava says:
Hi, I’m Ava and I am 10 years old! I’ve had lots of hospital visits and heart surgeries, which can make me really anxious. I’m also autistic and sometimes school feels too loud and confusing.
I use my earplugs and take breaks when I need to, but it’s not always easy. I have a learning disability too, so I have to work extra hard at some things—but that doesn’t mean I can’t do them. That’s where Dexter comes in. He’s my dog and my best friend. When I feel sad, tired, or worried, he helps me feel calm again. After a long school day or a hospital appointment, cuddling Dexter makes me feel safe.
When I worked on the Circus of Courage, I thought about the times I’ve needed courage—like being brave in the hospital, joining in at school even when I feel shy, or trying something new when it feels scary.
